The Most Beautiful Holiday Decoration is a Grateful Heart

Untitled

Whether you are spending your day taking in all the Black Friday deals, loading up on turkey day leftovers, setting up your holiday decorations, or just enjoying some relaxation- it is important we take time to keep gratitude long after Thanksgiving is over. It is very easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays, from shopping, to baking and everything in between; one can simply lose touch of what the holiday season really represents. Thanksgiving should be a daily event, and gratitude should be practiced not just when life is easy, thanksgiving and gratitude should be practiced all year long.

Here at Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance we have always felt a strong sense of community. For more than 60 years this community has supported us and has watched us grow- and for that we are grateful. Over the years the Sheely family continues to show their gratitude for the wonderful community they live and work in by sponsoring many local sports teams and activities, the area’s Booster Club, numerous school organizations and local charities. There is no better way to say thank you to a community, a family, or a person then by giving back.

In order to thank the community for continued support, Dale Sheely Sr. and his wife, Alice, established The Sheely Foundation in 1994 to provide food, clothing and special assistance to help less fortunate families in the area. The foundation has donated more than two million dollars to those in need of living necessities by working through many local churches and organizations to accomplish this enormous task. Thanks to the community and the hardworking employees of Sheely’s, Sheely’s Furniture and Appliance can continue to give back to others for many years to come.

Gratitude isn’t about what you have or what you don’t have. Gratitude is a magnifier of life’s blessings, showing appreciation for the gifts you have and paying it forward. This holiday season avoid the temptations of taking everyday things for granted, focus on radiating gratitude and thankfulness today, tomorrow and every day. From all of us at Sheely’s, Happy Holidays!
